Bentwood Coffee Table

I designed the base to match the shape of a found piece of oval glass that serves as the top. I cut the coves in the horizontal framing on the table saw before being bent into the final curves. To create the curved end pieces, I used a hot plate and our roasting pan (to my wife’s chagrin) to saturate the oak before putting the sections into a homemade bending jig.
